AcroRIP earned its place. Its desktop edition lists models we do not cover yet: the ET-5800/5850, the ET-18100, the SC-P400/P600 and the R1800–R3000 generation. It prints white and colour in one pass, lets you move a colour onto another channel when a nozzle clogs, and RIP BOOST makes an L1800 up to 30–40 % faster. There is now a 15-day trial, and genuine buyers get free updates inside V11 (up to V11.4, May 2025, on the vendor's update page). The limits are just as clear. It is Windows only, and the vendor's own support page recommends not upgrading to Windows 11. The licence is a USB dongle that ships by post, one per edition — the SC-P900 sits in the wide edition, so a P900 owner needs that one. On white, the feature list names one-pass printing but no choke and no content-based underbase; on layout, it names multi-image handling but not auto-nesting; and V10 owners had to buy V11 as a new product. Then there is the grey market: one online listing sells "AcroRIP V11.2 DTF Software" for $18.80 with no dongle, and AcroRIP itself warns that knockoffs may carry viruses and cannot be updated. If you print on Windows 10 with an Epson only AcroRIP lists, buy the genuine dongle from an authorised reseller. If you want the same white and colour on macOS or Linux, with the underbase worked out from transparency, a wizard that finds a wrongly mapped tank, auto-nesting and no dongle — free on one computer — that is ZoroPrint.
