Welcome, Sujit! Your L805 prints on paper from Windows, so the printer, the cable and the ink are fine. The problem is how the job travels. Windows prints through the Epson driver. ZoroPrint sends raw printer commands, and the Windows printer has to pass them on untouched.

The most likely cause: Windows installs a driver by itself when you plug in the L805, called Epson ESC/P-R V4 Class Driver. That driver throws raw jobs away without showing an error. ZoroPrint says the job was sent, the print queue empties, and the printer does nothing. We had exactly this on an L805 with Windows 11. ZoroPrint should warn you about this driver and doesn't yet. We're fixing that.

1. Check the driver

  1. Open Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners, click your EPSON L805, then Printer properties.
  2. On the Advanced tab, look at Driver. On the Ports tab, note the ticked port (usually USB001).
  3. If the driver name contains V4 or Class Driver, that's the cause. Go to step 2.

2. Add a second printer that passes raw jobs through

Keep your current L805 printer for paper. This adds a second one on the same USB port, only for ZoroPrint.

  1. Printers & scanners → Add device. Wait a few seconds, then click Add manually next to "The printer that I want isn't listed".
  2. Choose Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings → Next.
  3. Use an existing port → pick the port from step 1 (for example USB001) → Next.
  4. Manufacturer Generic, printer Generic / Text Only → Next.
  5. Name it EPSON L805 RAW, don't share it, skip the test page, and click Finish.
  6. In ZoroPrint: Printer tab → Connection System → choose EPSON L805 RAW (press ↻ if it isn't listed). Make sure the model is Epson L805, then press Test connection.

Installing Epson's official L805 driver from the Epson support site works too. It also passes raw jobs through. Then pick that printer in ZoroPrint.

3. Test on paper first, then on film

  1. With plain paper in the printer, press Print channel test. If numbered blocks come out, the connection works. The white blocks won't show on white paper. That's normal.
  2. Then load film, coated (matte) side facing you in the rear feeder, and print the channel test again to see the white. More in the channel test guide.

If that's not it

Reply here with:

  • What happens exactly: nothing at all, an error in ZoroPrint (copy the text), a blinking light on the printer, the film feeds through blank, or it prints but looks wrong.
  • The driver name and port from step 1.
  • What Test connection says in ZoroPrint.
  • A photo of the film, if anything comes out.

We'll take it from there.
