요약
- Shake or stir the white tanks every day before printing
- Print a nozzle check; clean only if the white rows are broken
- Never let the printer sit idle for more than 2–3 days without a short white print
Daily
- Before the first print, agitate the white gently: bottles end over end for 30–60 s, tanks or cartridges connected to the head rocked slowly for about 30 s. No hard shaking — it makes bubbles. Or run the tank agitator if your kit has one.
- Print a nozzle check on film. If white rows are complete, print. If not, one head cleaning, then check again. Do not chain five cleanings: you waste ink and flood the pad.
- In production, agitate again during the day: sources range from every 30–60 minutes to every 2–3 hours of printing; heavy white work needs the shorter end. More in keeping white ink from clogging.
Idle days
- Print a small white strip (ZoroPrint: Add purge strip) every 2–3 days even if there are no orders.
- Going away for a week or more: flush the white lines with cleaning solution or keep the printer on a timer that prints a purge strip daily.
Signs it is getting late
- Fine white lines missing in the nozzle check → clog forming: clean now.
- White prints grey/thin → pigment settled or ink limit too low: stir, check the W density.
- Thick, uneven white with banding → old ink: replace the tank contents.
