Why does ZoroPrint exist?

Most DTF RIPs run only on Windows, and several need a USB dongle sent by post. If you print from a Mac or a Linux machine, or you only own one converted printer, the choice has been small and the price high.

We wanted a RIP that talks to the printer directly, works out the white underbase from transparency, and costs less than any other RIP on the market. It has a free plan so anyone can test it on their own printer before paying.

How do you know a printer works?

Each printer page carries a status, and we keep it honest. Supported means ZoroPrint has the model's head and tank layout built in. Experimental means the head geometry is deduced from documents and not yet confirmed on hardware, so expect to run the channel test and adjust a setting or two.

The L805 is the printer ZoroPrint started on. The ET-8550 / L8180 was validated on real hardware in September 2026. When owners of an experimental model send us a channel test, we use it to confirm or correct the model.

How do you write the comparisons?

We sell one of the products being compared, so read our comparisons with that in mind. Each row is meant to be something you can check on the vendor's own site, and each page shows the date its facts last changed.

We also say where a competitor is ahead, for example when it lists printers we do not cover yet. If you find a mistake, write to us and we will correct it.

How can I reach you?

Write to us by e-mail or on Telegram, or ask the community. Questions about a specific printer are easier to answer with a photo of the channel test.
